1967 CORVETTE
This documented (pop, tank sticker and complete owner history with mileage verification). Some of the documentation includes original bills of sale from the early 80’s copies of titles, registrations and names, addresses of the owners and statements by them about the car.
This 39000 mile car has a flawless no hit body that was repainted by the famous Kevin Mackay of Corvette Repair in Valley Stream N.Y. in original lacquer around 2000.
The interior is 100 percent original and has never been removed from the car. The front carpets show some sign of wear but otherwise the interior is great.
The drive train is all original right down to the dated gears in the rear end, correctly dated and original F-41 shocks and original "TR" bolts" on the air cleaner . All date codes and casting numbers are correct. After winning the Triple Crown I decided that I wanted to have the frame, drive train and engine bay detailed to the "9"s. (Then I brought it to Bloomington in 2104) It got GOLD.
I had the body removed and an extremely detailed restoration of a flawless totally rust free chassis. Every nut and bolt was examined for correctness, cleaned and re-plated. Any reproduction bolts were replaced with originals. Most painted components (including the chassis) of the suspension / chassis were powder coated with the correct factory color. Bare metal parts such as sway bars and springs were powder coated clear with a "0" reflectivity. It does not look like there is anything on the bare metal. The chassis was also rust proofed by Ziebart. (clear waxy substance sprayed inside the chassis). The exhaust manifolds were powder coated with a high temperature coating that looks like bare cast iron. The side pipes were "Jet Hot Coated" and look spectacular (they were new pipes the old ones were discarded and for the purest in us all I have a set of NOS BB side pipes in storage)
Of course all bushings were changed and all bearings were inspected and replaced as needed. The trailing arms were rebuilt and powder coated. All rotors were turned to ensure that they were true.
Some components were changed. The spare tire tub was replaced with an NOS one (with no pre-drilled holes and a part number molded in, a NOS front grill and side pipe covers were installed and a repro fan shroud was replaced with an original. John Pirkle worked his magic on the starter and alternator. The wiper motor was re-built and re-plated.
At the end of a two month project. I think the car is spectacular.
The chassis detail was done by Cary Kuczkowski of D & M Corvette Downers Grove, Il. The attention to authenticity and detail given to the car by Cary are unparalleled. Cary produced over 500 still pictures and over an hour of digital video of the restoration.
Now that all this was done the car is too nice to drive. It has now officially become a trailer queen.

If any American car can rightly be called a "legend" it is the Corvette. The name alone conjures images of speed, style and excitement. The 1963 to '67 Sting Rays are largely responsible for that reputation. The '63 introduced the landmark styling while the '67 refined it, incorporated significant mechanical improvements and added truly awesome performance. Cars with 427 cu. in. engines got a new hood with one of the most sinister looking hood scoops ever seen, giving the world fair warning as to what lay beneath. The optional L-71 427 cu. in. put out a full 435 horsepower and was fed by three 2-barrel carburetors under a unique triangular air cleaner. Only 3,754 '67 Corvettes (16%) were equipped with the L-71. Considered by many to be the best Corvette ever built, 1967's are extremely coveted today.
